- Hi My name is John and i am Married to JUm (somtarwin) and we are in the final phases of finishing our house in the sisaket region, of sisaket We have our house in the vllge of Noon Khoo Noon Kghee. near Wang hin, sisaket. We have a little boy, well no so little any more, his name is Benn, and he is just 12. This is a daily report, (when we get around to it, it will be lol) of our daily lives, information on all thai / farrang issues, and the like. If yo uhave any issues or comments or questions to ask, we will do our best to find out for you, some way or another.
GETTING HERE TO SISAKET

There are many taxis in the airport foyer, and you wont have to look far for a driver, they will find you.
Just say sisaket, and they will take you, an hour approximate ride, on a very new highway to sisaket. If you want to stop for refreshments, we recommend, jsut after you pass the level crossing about 30 minutes into your journey. Local food, but they have ice cool beer and fizzy drinks, that are sealed, and of course water, amust up here in issan.
By Car
From Bangkok, take Highway No. 1 (Phahonyothin Road) and turn onto Highway No. 2 (Mittraphap Road) at Saraburi Province. Then take the Chok Chai-Det Udom road (Highway No. 24) pass Biri Rum and Surin and turn left onto Highway No. 220 to Amphoe Muang Si Sa Ket. The total distance is approximately 571 kms.
By Bus
From Bangkok, bus of the Transport Co. leave the Northern Bus Terminal ( Mo Chit 2) daily. The traveling time is about 8 hours. For details, please contact Tel. 2710101-5 (regular bus) and Tel. 2794484-7 (air-conditioned bus) or joint private-public buses run by Siri Rattanaphon Co. (Tel. 2791976) and Kitchakan Ratchasima Co., (Tel.2712390)
By Train
From Bangkok Railway Station (Hua Lamphong) there are regular, rapid and express trains on the Bangkok-Si Sa Ket route, covering a distance of 551 kms. Please contact the Travel Service Section, State Railway of Thailand at Tel. 2237010 and 2237020.
